MEMORANDUM
TO: Shani Eastin, Planning DATE: November 97
FROM: Trevor Jiricek, Health Departme
COLORADO SUBJECT: XTRA Corporation, Vacation of C.D. and U.S.R.
Our Department has reviewed the November 10, 1997, letter from Charles R. Hayes,
concerning the XTRA Corporation Landfill. It is our understanding that Mr. Hayes would
like to vacate U.S.R. #799 and the Certificate of Designation which was issued in October
1987. This letter indicates that the landfill site was never developed and that no substantial
activities have occurred on the site that would be subject to any County requirements or
the Regulations Pertaining to Solid Waste Disposal Sites and Facilities (6 CCR 1007-2).
As a result, our Department has no concerns with the vacation of the above mentioned
permits.
If you have any questions, please call me at extension 2232.
