HomeMy WebLinkAbout961679.tiff RESOLUTION RE: SETTING EVIDENTIARY HEARING DATE CONCERNING THE APPLICATION FOR A CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP FOR HOTEL AND RESTAURANT LIQUOR LICENSE, WITH EXTENDED HOURS, FROM ROBERT W. KLINE, DBA REWARDS BAR AND GRILL, TO MICHELLE L. JOHNSON, INC., DBA MICHELLE'S SALOON WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, at its regular public meeting on the 18th day of September, 1996, considered an application for a Change of Ownership for a Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License, with extended hours, from Michelle L. Johnson, Inc., dba Michelle's Saloon, 10763 Turner Boulevard, Longmont, Colorado 80504, and WHEREAS, the Board, after study and review, deemed it advisable to set an evidentiary hearing to consider further evidence necessary to determine whether to approve or deny said application, and WHEREAS, the Board further determined that the evidentiary hearing to consider further evidence concerning said application shall be scheduled for October 7, 1996, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the evidentiary hearing concerning said application be, and hereby is, scheduled for October 7, 1996, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the issues to be heard by the Board at said evidentiary hearing shall include the following: a) Whether the applicant is of good moral character. Section 12-47-111(1)(a)(III), C.R.S. b) Whether the hotel/restaurant is being financed, in whole or in part, by the applicant's husband, Michael S. Johnson, by virtue of his $20,000 gift to Ms. Johnson which she then used to purchase the licensed establishment. Section 12-47-111(1)(a)(VI), C.R.S. c) Whether Ms. Johnson, through her corporation, plans to have Mr. Johnson assist or be employed at the licensed establishment. Section 12-47-111(1)(a)(VI), C.R.S. d) Whether Mr. Johnson is of good moral character. Section 12-47-111(1)(a)(VI), C.R.S.
