ONE 11' X 20' PREFABRICATED EQUIPMENT BUILDING IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL)
ZONE DISTRICT - ONECOMM CORPORATION
A public hearing was conducted on February 8, 1995, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chairman
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro -Tern
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Keith Schuett
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated January 23, 1995, and duly published January 26,
1995, in the Windsor Beacon, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of
OneComm Corporation for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a 163 -
foot, two-inch self supporting radio communication tower and one 11' X 20' prefabricated equipment
building in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this
a matter of record. Keith Schuett, Planning Department representative, entered the favorable
recommendation of the Planning Commission into the record as written. He also referred to a
memo from Jack Statler, Weld County Regional Communications Director, requesting access to
said tower for installation of radio and microwave antenna in the future. Mr. Schuett noted Mr.
Statler has contacted the applicants who have provided language for a Development Standard
allowing certain other entities access. Monte Force, Site Acquisition Services, Inc., represented
the applicant and stated all Conditions of Approval and Development standards are agreeable and
confirmed contact with Mr. Statler. Larry Storms, also from Site Acquisition Services, Inc., read the
language for the proposed Development Standard and confirmed the applicant and Mr. Statler are
comfortable with it. Mr. Statler confirmed an appropriate agreement for future access has been
resolved. He informed the Board that the same access request would be made for any future
towers in Weld County. No further public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Baxter moved to approve the request of OneComm Corporation for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a 163 -foot, two-inch self supporting radio
communication tower and one 11' X 20' prefabricated equipment building in the A (Agricultural)
Zone District, based on the recommendations of the Planning staff and the Planning Commission,
with the Conditions of Approval and Development Standards as entered into the record, and the
addition of Development Standard #15. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Webster.
Commissioner Harbert requested the words "Personal form" in Development Standard #12 be
changed to "Personnel from". Commissioners Baxter and Webster agreed to include said change
in the motion, which carried unanimously.
