Weld County Council Minutes
January 5, 1999-Page 2 of 4
PUBLIC COMMENT: Greeley Attorney Dan Post reiterated his desire for information
from Weld County regarding its lease with Winona's. He said that he felt that the
information he was requesting was public information and that his clients did not want
to have to go to court to find out more about Winona's lease. Mr. Post stated that he
was under the impression that he could not appear at a County Commissioners'
meeting to talk about the Winona's matter without identifying his clients. He said that
his clients believe that Winona's is being subsidized by Weld County and that is illegal.
Mr. Post said that his most pressing concern was the non response of Weld County to
his inquiries. He said that an honest explanation from Weld County explaining why the
fair market value of the space occupied by Winona's is less than other downtown
Greeley rental space would satisfy his clients.
