RE: APPROVE FY 97-98 STATE TRAILS GRANT APPLICATION, COLORADO STATE
PARKS, FOR POUDRE RIVER TRAIL - MISSILE PARK TO HIGHWAY 257 AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Fiscal Year 1997-98 State Trails
Grant Application for the Poudre River Trail - Missile Park to Highway 257 from the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
on behalf of the Poudre River Trail Corridor, Inc., to the Colorado State Parks, with terms and
conditions being as stated in said application, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said application, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Fiscal Year 1997-98 State Trails Grant Application for the
Poudre River Trail - Missile Park to Highway 257 from the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Poudre
River Trail Corridor, Inc., to the Colorado State Parks be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said application.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 2nd day of December, A.D., 1996.

appropriate Forest Management Plan or BLM Resource Area Management Plan.

CERTIFICATION
As the official designated to represent the Project Sponsor, I am requesting assistance
from the Colorado State Trails Program. I agree to the following:
1. The Project Sponsor has the ability and intent to finance its share of the project
costs, including long-term management and maintenance.
2. Actual project development will be started within one year of the effective date
of the State Agreement, and completed within two years from the effective date.
3. If this project is approved, an official expenditure documentation report will
reflect only those items listed in the Project Development Budget. Any changes must first
be approved in a project amendment.
