VOTING MACHINE CONTRACT
(For Purchase of Additional Machines)
J1ris .Agrrrmrnt, approved, made and executed in duplicate at Jamestown, New York, this 17th
day of November , 19..64..., by and between AUTOMATIC VOTING MACHINE CORPORATION
of Jamestown, New York, a corporation, organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, party of the first part, and
hereinafter referred to as the "Company", and the
County of Weld State of Colorado
party of the second part, and hereinafter referred to as the "County" , witnesseth, that, for and in
consideration of the agreements hereinafter stated, and intending legally to be bound hereby, the parties hereto agree
with each other as follows:
FIRST. The Company sells to the County , Sixteen ( 16 )
Automatic Voting Machines of the Nine Party Row, . Forty ( 40 ) Office Column size*
at the price of Sixteen.iimdred.(4lnety tine Dollars ($...1.642410.)
for each machine, F.O.B. Jamestown, New York, payable as follows: ..Net...caiit..on.A[..be ore..Detember....i$y....1964.

SECOND. The County purchases from the Company the said Sixteen (...__..16......._.

($.469.9 0Q..) for each machine, F.O.B. Jamestown, New York, which it promises to pay as hereinbefore stated.
THIRD. The Company agrees as follows: To ship the said voting machines addressed to XXXXX

on or before the day of ................_...__..._...._..19 _.., if not prevented or delayed by strikes or stoppages
at its plant or at plants of its suppliers, by war, or by causes beyond the Company's control.
That said Sixteen ( 16 ) voting
machines will be covered by the same guarantees as the machines now owned by the Cam,)„
FOURTH. The amount of any present or future Personal Property Tax, Sales Tax, Use Tax, or other similar
tax is not included in the price and if same shall be applicable to the purchase of said machines, it shall be added to
the price and shall be paid by the Countyin the same manner and with the same effect
as if originally added thereto.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Company has caused its corporate seal to be hereunto
affixed and these presents to be signed by its Vice President the day and year first above
written and the County has caused its corporate seal to be hereunto

Gentlemen:
In accordance with your request for bids, we, the Automatic Voting Machine
Corporation of Jamestown, New York, a corporation organized under the laws of
the State of Delaware, hereby offer to sell to the County of Weld, Sixteen (16)
Automatic Voting Machines of the 9 party row, 40 office column size, manually
operated, Colorado type, equipped with Printed Return Mechanism, at the price of
Sixteen Hundred Ninety-nine Dollars ($1699.00) per machine, F.O.B. Jamestown,
New York, said machines now in the County's possession and serially numbered
124,696 thru 124,711 inclusive.
Payment for said machines shall be made in cash on or before December 15, 1964,
or by other terms mutually agreeable between the County and the Company.
Each machine shall contain 9 rows of 40 voting pointers each for voting for candi-
dates; 1 row of 40 voting levers for voting on 20 Constitutional Amendments or
questions; and 1 row of 40 devices for voting for persons not nominated, and shall
comply with all of the requirements of the Colorado Election Laws.
If we are the successful bidder we will guarantee to make good by repair or
replacement any imperfections or defects in material or workmanship in said machines
for a period of five (5) years from date of delivery, provided said machines shall
be cared for properly and prepared properly for elections, and provided that such
repair or replacement is not rendered necessary by the elements, fire, accident,
improper operation, or through careless or malicious handling.
For the County's convenience we are enclosing contract in duplicate covering the
above proposal. In the event we are the successful bidder and the terms contained
in the contract are satisfactory, we ask that both copies be signed by the proper
officials and returned to us. We will execute same and return one copy for the
County's files.

The amount of any present or future Personal Property Tax, Sales Tax, Use Tax, or
other similar tax levied in the State of Colorado is not included in the price quoted
herein and if same shall be applicable to the purchase of said machines, it shall be
added to the price and the total thereof considered as our bid price.
