Dear Mr. Ramsay:
On behalf of the Board of Weld County Commissioners, I want to thank you again for your
offer to donate your 29.5 acres of land to the citizens of Weld County for open space. We
very much appreciated the tour of the property on July 22, 1996.
Staff has been directed to gather information on the long-term management and improvements
to the property to make it a functional open space park that you and the county can be proud
of. We anticipate that this work will be completed within four weeks. We will then present
you with our approach and hope that it will be agreeable with you. If so, we can proceed with
acceptance of the property by the county. We anticipate applying for Great Outdoors
Colorado grants to further develop the property.
