WESTERN DAIRYMEN COOPERATIVE, INC., % CLAY CARLSON
A public hearing was conducted on August 4, 1999, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tern
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Ben Patton
Health Department representative, Sheble McConnellogue
Public Works representative, Don Carroll
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated July 21, 1999, and duly published July 24, 1999, in
the Fort Lupton Press, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Western
Dairymen Cooperat ve, Inc., % Clay Carlson for Change of Zone#524 from A (Agricultural) Zone
District to PUD(Planned Unit Development)for 353 lots with Residential Zone uses. Lee Morrison,
Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Ben Patton, Department of Planning
Services, stated the applicant has only received a partial water commitment from the Left Hand
Water District; however, following the District's meeting on August 12, 1999, there should be a full
commitment for the entire 353 lots. Mr. Patton requested this case be continued to August 18,
1999.
John Donnley, Attorney, represented the St. Vrain Concerned Citizens and stated due to prior
commitments, he will not be able to attend on August 18, 1999, and requested the hearing be
continued to August 25, 1999, or a later date, which will also allow the Water District more time to
complete their work Commissioner Kirkmeyer stated she will not be able to attend on August 25,
1999. Mr. Donnley stated September 1, 1999, would be a suitable date.
Scott Carlson, applicant, stated that although he would prefer to continue to an earlier date, he
does not want to deny any surrounding property owners the opportunity to speak and he has no
conflict with having this hearing continued to September 1, 1999.
Commissioner Kirkrneyer moved to continue the request of Western Dairymen Cooperative, Inc.,
Clay Carlson, for Change of Zone#524 from A(Agricultural)Zone District to PUD(Planned Unit
Development) for 353 lots with Residential Zone uses to September 1, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Vaad, and it carried unanimously.
