HomeMy WebLinkAbout960367.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING PETITION FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - DELWOOD AVENUE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, a Petition for a Local Improvement District was submitted to the Board by owners of property which is more particularly described in said petition, marked as Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to schedule a hearing to determine the intent to create Weld County Delwood Avenue Local Improvement District#1995-2 for April 24, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that a hearing to consider the aforementioned Petition for a Local Improvement District be, and hereby is, scheduled for April 24, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 13th day of March, A.D., 1996. t2t BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ��xMG� W�jD COUNTY, COLDDOççeo :t:4ojBarba J. Box 758 Greeley, Colorado 80632 We,the undersigned citizens of Weld County,who are owners of record of real property,propose to be assessed the costs of paving,and which property will benefit from improvement of: Delwood Avenue between East 18th Street and U.S. Rlghway 34 situated in Weld County,Colorado, do hereby petition the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of Colorado,for the formation of a local improvement district pursuant to the CRS,30-20-601,et seq. We represent that the real property listed in this petition(s) will be assessed more than one-half of the estimated $33,320 in costs proposed to be assessed to the local improvement district. Such improvement district is for the purpose of paving the above described streets and avenues. The specific improvements we wish to have constructed are as follows: Shape, grade, and pave the above described avenue. We request that the following materials be used: Two inches of asphalt pavement, 54 ft.wide; and 4 inches of aggregate base course. The specific manner of assessments we recommend is as follows: The property owners be assessed equally per each of the 17 properties adjoining Delwood Avenue as described on the attached Exhibit A. We estimate the cost to be$1,960 per property. The specific manner of payment we recommend is as follows: The estimated$1,960 per property be paid in full without interest, or over a 10-year period,at an interest rate of 6.25%, with the principal being divided into 10 equal annual payments, and the interest computed to the unpaid balance. m:wpfeslengineeruneale.pet 960367 Petition for Local Improvement District Lindale Subdivision Page 2 We further understand and acknowledge that we are to be responsible, individually, for any grading or other adjustments to our driveways and culverts necessitated by such project. Do not sign this petition unless you are an"owner" of real property benefitting from the project and request to be assessed costs of the improvements. An owner is a person holding fee title to real property. You are an"owner" if you hold a contract to purchase real property,which obligates you to pay general taxes on that property.
