Re: Vista Commercial Center, Filing II, 5-416
Sec 5 & 8, T2N, R68W, 6TH PM
W. Division 1, W. District 5
We have reviewed the above referenced proposal to develop a 40 lot subdivision, on a
68.67 acre parcel. The Water Supply Information Summary requested in the State Engineer's
memorandum of August 7, 1995, was not included and no water supply requirements were
identified. The Left Hand Water District is to be the water provider, and in a letter dated August
6, 1996, the District states that the property is within the boundary of the District and it is the
District's intent to serve the property at some point in the future. Water for an irrigation system
will be from the Oligarchy Ditch which terminates on the property which it has historically
irrigated. No information was included on the amount of irrigation water required or the delivery
system to be used.
Based on the information provided, we cannot comment on the potential for injury to
decreed water rights or the adequacy of the proposed water supply under the provisions of
Section 30-28-136(1)(h)(l) C.R.S.
If you have any questions in this matter, please contact John Schurer of this office.
