Home My WebLink About990373.tiff RESOLUTION RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS WELD COUNTY ROADS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S., as amended,: "...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative routing of the traffic affected...", and WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and personal investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on said County roads by posting signs thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 50 between Weld County Roads 13 and 15 be temporarily closed for road construction, with said closure being effective, March 1, 1999, for approximately two months, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 15 between Weld County Roads 54 and 56 be temporarily closed, with said closures being effective, March 1, 1999, for approximately two months for road reconstruction, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions. 990373 rl ' e4 ern, 5O, CSP EG0024 ROAD CLOSURES - VARIOUS WELD COUNTY ROADS PAGE 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 17 between Weld County Roads 62 and 66 be temporarily closed, with said closures being effective, February 23, 1999, for approximately five days for drainage work, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of March, A.D., 1999, nunc pro tunc, February 23, 1999. It will be closed until approximately May 1, 1999. WCR 15 between WCR 54 and WCR 56 was closed on 3/1/99 to do road construction. It will be closed until approximately May 10, 1999. WCR 17 between WCR 66 and WCR 62 was closed on 2/23/99 for five working days to do drainage work on the road. The appropriate documentation is enclosed.
