As w discussed today a septic permit is not`required for the closed loop wash
wate system that you are proposing to insta . The system does not rely on soil
for treatment and disposal of the wastewater, and the evaporation from the
steam cleaner is not designed as a method cif disposal, therefore the use does
not follow the intent of the individual Sewage! Disposal System regulations. This
was a`Iso confirmed in a phone conversation with Tom Bennett, Water Quality
Contrpl Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
Shou you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call me at (970)
35 35, extension 2238.

Pam mith

Today, February 21, 1997, John Hochmiller applied for a ISDS permit for
his used parts washer. Mr. Hochmiller will submit a written text
describing the washing process, how the system will function, how he
will deal with wastes, etc. We will review the permit once this
information is received.
Mr. Hochmiller should not be issued building permits until staff approval
has been received from our Department.

RE: Closed loop washing system proposed by John Hochmiller
This matter was presented to staff and it was determined that the proposed closed loop washing system
does not constitute a "major change" to SUP 311:76:16 (see Weld County Zoning Resolution 1973 ed.,
attached). The system must maintain compliance with County and State Health requirements.
