Dear Ms. Lockman:
Pursuant to the State Engineer's August 7, 1995 memorandum to county planning
directors, this office is no longer providing comments on land use actions that do not involve
the subdivision of land as defined in Section 30-28-101 (10)(a), C.R.S. This referral is a
mining operation and does not appear to qualify as a "subdivision." Returned herewith are
the materials submitted to this office in the above referenced matter.

Dear Sheri:
Thank you for referring the application Western Mobile, Inc. Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special
Review Permit for Open Gravel USR -397, SUR- 809, and SUR-1132 to the School District for review. From the
information in the application, it appears that this is for gravel mining with future wildlife habitat/outdoor
recreation land uses. Without a residential component there would be no impact to the School District, thus, the
School District would not be in opposition to this proposal. If the proposal does contain future residential land uses,
District would appreciate receiving the plans and the impact report to determine any student impacts. Students
,m any residential unit in this area would attend Mead Elementary, Mead Middle, and Skyline High Schools. The
capacity and enrollment information for the schools is identified below:
