RE: CONCURRENCE WITH THE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDATION
FOR GRANTING OF PROPOSED AUTO JUNK YARD BY FRANK PRAZMA:

WHEREAS, The County Commissioners of wield County, Colorado, have been fully .
advised by the Weld County Planning Commission in relation to the following Peti-
tion of
,NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that the recommendation of the Weld County Planning
Commission be concurred in and the Petition be granted as follows:
Construction of an auto wrecking yard with shop on that part NWt of Section 24,
Twp 7 N, R 66 W, 7i acres beginning at Northwest corner NWT, east 141/8 rods
South 34 rods to L and W Canal r/w West 141/8 rods North to beginning(3Acres),
also beg 141/8 rods East of NW corner NWt Section. 24 E 9 rods 6'9" South 34 rods
to r/w L & W Canal West along canal 9 rods 6' 9" North 34 rods to beg (2 acres),
Also beg NW cor of Gsivins lot, West 208' on county road South 561` to r/w L & W
Canal East on Line 5/3 355' m/1 South SW cor Givins Lot North 500' m/1 to beg
(2i acres).
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote:

presented. Address of Colorado Potato Flake and Mfg. Co, 715 Fourth
Signing the Petition were Henry Ernest Meyer, 1625 Fairacres Drive,
A. Leafgren, George D. Adams and Lloyd Orr all of Lucerne, Colorado.
Commission felt it was a good location after visiting said location
made a motion that they recommend to the Board of County Commission -
of said Petition of Colorado Potato Flake and Mfg. Co. Seconded
Unanimously Approved.

A Petition by the O'Day Livestock Co., by Don O'Day, Box 6941 Stockyards, Denver
16, Colorado, for livestock pens, surrounded by a board fence; open area to be used
for hay and straw storage, and pasture and necessary shelter for livestock to be
built inside the fenced area, was presented. Same is to be located on the St Si NE4
of Section 30 Township 1 Range 66, 30 acres more or less, otherwise known astheJohn
John
Moore Place. Signing the Petition were: Fred W. Betz, Peter Wolken (Tenant), Larry
G. Mancini, George J. Mancini, Floyd Dienot, G. J. Luttrell and Fred Doughty, all of
Brighton, Colorado.
Mr. O'Day showed pictures of the location of the proposed pens.
John Wheeler made a motion that the Planning Commission recommend to the Board
of County Commissioners the approval of the Petition of the O'Day Livestock Company.
Seconded by George Mosier. Carried.
There being no further business John Wheeler moved the meeting be adjourned.

John Wheeler moved the commission table the petition of said auto wrecking yard un-
til May 16 and they could go out and look over the location. Seconded.. by Elmer
Shultz. Motion carried.
Earl A. Collins wanted to buy another location and build a home and filing station
about 500 feet from the new highway in Pierce. The commission asked him -to get sig-
natures of adjoining property owners. They said from the description they .did be-
lieve the location would probably be approved, but they wanted him to get the signa-
tures first.
J. K. Smith said there was federal funds available for planning on a matching basis.
He felt that it was now time to start getting peofessional help. He said to deter-
mine what is needed for land use survey -- more locations of use and.type of uses;
the different types of Agrciulture; major thoroughfares and river valleys, etc.
It was decided to write to the Boulder Planning Commission to see when they meet so
the planning commission could go sit in on a meeting.

A resolution was made by George Mosier to thank Dr. Troxel for all his assistance and
fine work in preparing the maps, and the)( value they will be to the planning commis-
sion. Also to thank Dr. Walsh and his associates at the College for the work they
had done in preparing the maps. Seconded by John Watson. Carried.
There being no further business, John Wheeler moved the meeting be adjourned. Sec-
onded by George Mosier. Carried.
