Home My WebLink About961333.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WELD COUNTY, COLORADO JULY 31, 1996 TAPE #96-19 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, July 31, 1996, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Chair Commissioner George E. Baxter, Pro-Tem Commissioner Dale K. Hall Commissioner Constance L. Harbert - EXCUSED Commissioner W. H. Webster Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller Finance and Administration Director, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Hall moved to approve the minutes of the Board of County Commissioners meeting of July 29, 1996, as printed. Commissioner Webster seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. CERTIFICATION OF HEARINGS: Commissioner Baxter moved to approve the hearings conducted on July 8, 15, 17, and 24, 1996, as follows: 1) Board of Equalization. Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. ADDITIONS: Chair Kirkmeyer added the following item under New Business: 2) Consider appointing Temporary Chair for August 5, 1996, meeting. 961333 BC0016 CONSENT AGENDA: Commissioner Hall moved to approve the consent agenda as printed. Commissioner Baxter seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. PUBLIC INPUT: No public input was offered. WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the following warrants for approval by the Board: All Funds $ 846,457.02 Commissioner Webster moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. BIDS: PRESENT DELINQUENT TAX LIST ADVERTISEMENT - TREASURER'S DEPARTMENT: Pat Persichino, General Services Director, stated the only vendor is The Greeley Tribune, and said bid will be considered for approval on Wednesday, August 14, 1996. BUSINESS: NEW: CONSIDER VACATION OF PORTION OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 50: Bruce Barker, County Attorney, explained this item should be continued to August 12, 1996, since the adjacent landowner, National Hog Farms, was notified of that date. Commissioner Hall moved to continue said matter to Monday, August 12, 1996, at 9:00 a.m. Commissioner Baxter seconded the motion which carried unanimously. CONSIDER APPOINTING TEMPORARY CHAIR FOR AUGUST 5, 1996, MEETING: Commissioner Baxter moved to appoint Commissioner Dale Hall as temporary Chair for the August 5, 1996, Board meeting, since both Chair Kirkmeyer and Chair Pro-Tem Baxter will be absent. Commissioner Webster seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES: The resolutions were presented and signed as listed on the consent agenda. There were no ordinances. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
