RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE WELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REGARDING BUILDING CODE ORDINANCE VOILATION - MANUEL MONTOYA WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Manuel Montoya, VI #9900052, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County Building Code Ordinance, and WHEREAS, on the 13th day of July, 1999, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Manuel Montoya, property owner, was not present or represented at said hearing, and WHEREAS, at said hearing of July 13, 1999, the Board of County Commissioners determined the property is now in compliance, and deemed it advisable to close said matter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that VI #9900052 against Manuel Montoya be, and hereby is, closed. Unable to contact. No valid phone numbers are available. June 14, 1999 Unable to contact by telephone. June 17, 1999 Scheduled Hearing Letters were sent out by Joe Mendez. One was sent to Manuel Montoya, c/o Thresa Marie, P.O. Box 115, Gill, CO 80624 and another one sent out to Manuel Montoya, 6969 W. 90th Avenue#1013, Westminster, CO 80020. Unable to contact by telephone. June 24, 1999 Unable to contact by telephone. June 28, 1999 A site visit was made by Joe Mendez. Several pictures were taken of the property. The pictures are similar to the pictures Dave took. The only real difference is the high weeds on the property. None of the doors are secured and several windows are broken. Debris from the fire is still in the house. I spoke with one neighbor located on the south side of the house. She is upset and hopes that everything will be cleaned out soon. I also spoke with the neighbor accross the street. He mentioned that the house has been like that for over 2 years. The owners have not done anything to clean up the mess. He mentioned that the County once had a clean-up day in their area and the dumpster was placed in front of their yard; nothing was cleaned up by the owners of the house. Kids still go in and out of the house which is an issue in itself. He also stated that the basement has been flooded several times during the rain seasons. He was inquiring about what was gonna be done to take care of the mess.
