The truck traffic still exists as the following documentation will show: June 24, 6:30 am 8:00 am 8:30 am 1:30 pm June 26, 7:56 am 8:26 am 9:24 am 1997 Grain truck Grain truck Grain truck Grain truck 1997 Tanker semi Gravel semi Grain truck June 30, 1997 10:11 am Grain 11:34 am Grain 12:00 Noon Grain 1:oo pm Grain July 1, 1997 6:00 am 7:35 am 12:03 pm 12:05 pm July 6:37 6:45 6:49 7:20 7:31 8:19 8:38 am Semi loaded 10:09 am Grain truck 11:12 am Semi loaded 11:28 am Grain truck 2:11 pm Gravel semi 4:52 pm Semi loaded July 3, 1997 2:30 an Semi going South, Think it was a 2, am am am am am am Grain truck going South Grain truck going North Flat bed semi going North Gravel semi truck going South 1997 truck truck truck truck going going going going truck truck going going going going going South South North North going North going North North South North North North /21- 7/„7.3 /99 Grain truck going South Flat bed semi going South Grain truck going South Semi loaded with hay going south Grain truck going North Gravel semi truck going North with hay going South going north with hay going South going North tkruck going North with hay going South grain truck 971872 5:23 am 5:32 am 6:00 am 6:33 am 7:28 am 8:27 am 8:40 am 9:35 am 9:55 am 10:00 am 10:17 am 10:27 am 10:35 am 11:00 am 11:55 am 1:12 pm 1:25 pm 3:06 pm 5:50 pm Grain truck going south Semi going North Grain truck going South Semi going North Grain truck going South Grain truck going South Semi loaded with hay going South Semi going North Grain truck going North Grain truck going South Grain truck going North Grain truck going North Semi going South Semi loaded with hay going South Semi going North Grain truck going South Grain truck going North Semi loaded with hay going South Semi going North From the number of large trucks passing , it is quite apparent we still have a traffic problem even with the reduced weight limits. Again, I realize the manpower limitations, however I feel that with this amount of truck traffic a better surveillance might be maintained. The trucks seem to know where and when the roads are being patrolled and the useage increases as soon as the patrol unit leaves the area. This morning, July 16, at 12:40 am, not one, but 5 cattle trucks rumbled by, one after another. Again, thank you for your past cooperation and hopefully the problem will begin to diminish soon. To give you the benifit of doubt, I am enclosing a copy of said letter. With a daily increase in traffic, it would seem to me that a solution would be to everyone's advantage. again, please adsvise if and when you might meet. LeVere, Colorado State Patrol LC ; ,60co i Pt ("w) May, 23, 1996 Barbara Kirkmeyer Weld County Commissioner 915 10th Street Greeley, CO 80631 Dear Commissioner Kirkmeyer, By now you have received copies of my correspondence to Mr. Glenn Vadd of the Department of Transportation and also his reply through J.D. Jessup. No one seems to have jurisdiction or authority and I am always passed on to someone else. I have been contacted by the Colorado State Patrol and together we agree that we have some solutions to the ongoing traffic problems. The Colorado State Patrol would agree to my following request: To meet with yourself and Drew Scheltinga for an onsite inspection of the problems and discuss solutions which could possibly correct the situations. Please let me know when you could meet. Thank you for your past interest. Sincerely Robert Hedglin 804 South Denver Ave. Fort Lupton, CO 80621 PH: 303-857-2609 WELD COUNTY 797 rno `` AN : i CLERK TO THE Firv,rn March 31, 1997 COLORADO STATE PATROL Sergeant Craig W. LeVere 12700 VCR 14-1/2 't. Lupton, Colorado 80621 Dear Sergeant LeVere" I realize how busy your schedule is, however I still have a problem with the large trucks passing by my home. They have been numbering from.4 to 10 per day from 4:30 am to 7:00 pm. These.are not local delivery trucks, but the majority:are semis going to and.from Horton Feed Lots. Az well as ignoring the weight limits, most exceed the speed limit. These truckers are as much as thumbing their•noses'at the Colorado State Patrol as well as the taxpayers along this stretch of posted highway. Because of the shortage of manpower you currently have, I see no reason why the Weld County Sheriff's Department could not be of some help in sustaining the weight limit law as well as controlling' the excess speed along our street. Thank you for your past support and I sincerely hope we can eleminate this traffic problem.in the futute. Very truly yours 62,„ee.di Robert Hedglin 804 South Denver Avenue Ft.
