RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY,APPROVE TRADE-IN
OF SAME, AND AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF USED EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Administrative Manual require that all
items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, as described in
Exhibit"A", a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no
longer required for County use, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as
surplus, approve trade-in of same to Wagner Equipment for$4,133.00, and authorize purchase
of a used Caterpillar model#320KW Generator Set from Wagner Equipment, in the amount of
$33,400.00, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that certain equipment, as described in Exhibit "A", be, and hereby is,
declared as surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the trade-in of said equipment to
Wagner Equipment for$4,133.00 and purchase of a used Caterpillar model#320KW Generator
Set from Wagner Equipment, in the amount of$33,400.00, be, and hereby are, approved.

Wagner Equipment Co.-Industrial Engine Division,is pleased to offer the following
specification for your consideration.
New Caterpillar model 3406TA,350KW,525 amps,intermittent power(320KW prime
power)generator set engineered to 277-480 volt,3 phase,60 Hz,@ 1800 RPM,600 amp
circuit breaker.
Engine/generator engineered to your requirements as follows:
-Radiator,optional oversize industrial grade engineered for operation to 125
degrees Fahrenheit.
-Air cleaner,dual stage,dry,round type with service indicator and exhaust
augmented muffler.
-Breather,crankcase.
-Engine equipment instrument panel(24 volt electric):
"Digital display,oil pressure,water temperature gauges,voltmeter,hour
meter.
"Manual start-stop control module.
"Engine idle switch,allows engine to idle during"warm up"with no
damage to generator voltage regulator.
*Engine control switch for offireset,run,start.
* Shutoff's with single indicator for oil pressure,water temperature,
overcrank and overspeed(equipment protection devices).
"Emergency stop button(manual).
-Generator performance gauges:volts,hertz,amps in digital display.

quotation:Based on the engine's 23,733 hours hour meter reading with a spun crankshaft bearing we
recommend a complete engine rebuild of your generator set at our Aurora shop.
Complete Engine Recondition parts&labor
Total estimated price S 24,499.00
The price can only he quoted as an estimate until we have the opportunity to disassemble&
inspect the amount of wear.Price includes machine work for the crankshaft,and cylinder block
but does not Include replacement of major components&castings crankshaft,camshaft,
block,fuel pump.Etc.
