RE: DETERMINATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH CITY ORDINANCE 18.30.150
Dear Board of County Commissioners:
Section 18.30.150 of the Greeley Zoning Code requires that:
..The administrative official shall cause at least two
signs containing the same information as contained in the
public notice to be posted at the site. The posted signs
shall be designed and located so as to be reasonably
calculated to give notice to persons occupying land in
the neighborhood and shall be placed during ten or more
days immediately before the hearing.
On March 24, 1995, the City of Greeley staff reviewed the new
location of the posted signs for the Weld County request for a
final PUD located in the Weld County Business Park. Staff has
determined that the current sign placement complies with the
ordinance beginning and effective March 24, 1995. Staff direction
that compliance of the ordinance for this final PUD request for an
open meeting requires that the signs be clearly visible from the
public right-of-way to ensure reasonable notification of the
neighborhood. The posting location of the signs and their content
meet the ordinance requirement beginning March 24, 1995 and must
remain unchanged for ten days immediately before the hearing.
Neither the City of Planning Commission nor the City of Greeley
City Council will conduct a fact finding hearing for determination
as to the compliance with Section 18.30.150 of the Greeley Zoning
Code. Planning staff determination that the signs and contents of
the signs comply with the ordinance is conclusive evidence that the
posting requirement for the Planning Commission and City Council
meetings complies with the ordinance.
