RE: APPROVE EXPENDITURE AUTHORIZATION MODIFICATION REQUEST TO OLDER
WORKER CONTRACT WITH GOVERNOR'S JOB TRAINING OFFICE AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Expenditure Authorization
Modification Request to Older Worker Contract between the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Department of Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, and the Governor's Job Training
Office, with terms and conditions being as stated in said modification, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said modification, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Expenditure Authorization Modification Request to Older
Worker Contract between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Area
Agency on Aging, and the Governor's Job Training Office, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said contract.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 8th day of January, A.D., 1997.

III. MODIFICATION(S) REQUESTED (narrative):
Weld County is requesting a reprogramming of $5,633.93 of direct training funds and $563.39
administration funds from the original PY94 contract (WA331, VAX 4002) to the present PY94
contract (WA 521,VAX 4250).
IV. REVISED GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. OUTCOMES. ETC.
There are no revised goals, objectives or outcomes resulting from the modification of funds.
V. RATIONALE FOR MODIFICATION(S)
Weld County Area Agency on Aging (contractor) reported $5,633.93 of direct training
obligations at the end of the original PY94 period, Sept. 30, 1995. Unlike SDA allocations,
contractors cannot report obligations. Therefore, the obligations that were expended in the
following periods, will be backed out of the original PY94 grant and charged against the PY95
grant. That leaves the $5,633.93 of direct training funds and $563.39 of following
administration funds available. Since both pots of funding are PY94 funds, we request to
reprogram those funds to the current PY94 open contract.

The Weld County Area Agency on Aging is requesting a formal modification to the Job Training
Partnership Act's Older Worker Contract with the Governor's Job Training Office.
The modification includes a reprogramming of PY '94 funds from a previous period to the current
period. The amount of funds to be reprogrammed is $6,197.32.
