Dear Mr. Dalglish:
This is in response to your letter dated March 26, 1999, regarding the land parcel at 4781 WCR
24.75.
Weld County does own the property directly west of Lot A (AmRE-1.200). It is designated as a
portion of the Hokestra Gravel Pit or Lot 1 of the NE4 of Section 2 and is in the southwest corner
of the intersection of WCR 9.75 and WCR 24.75. The remaining portion of the Hokestra Gravel Pit
extends west to the 1-25 frontage road.
Current plans for the land consist of sand and gravel extraction and reclamation of the gravel pit as
park lands. The Colorado Division of Parks and Recreation would manage the area.

Dear Weld County Commissioners:
I have made an offer(currently under contract) on a land parcel with legal description 4781 WCR
24 %, to be used for residential property. A claim made by the seller is that the lot is "LOOKING
OVER A LAKE ACROSS WELD COUNTY OPEN SPACE" —see MLS listing attached. Before
closing on the deal, I would like to verify this claim, or otherwise, what the plans for that space
are. Can you tell me the following?
1. Does Weld County own the land directly west of the lot I am buying? And does it own the
land designated as"LOT 1 OF NE % (of section 2)", which is the SW corner of the
intersection of WCR 9%and WCR 24%-see survey maps attached?
2. What are the plans for this land?
3. If Weld County does not own it or have any control over it, can you suggest where I may find
the information?
I have to make a decision on the contract by no later than April 15th.
I really appreciate your attention to this matter. My experience with Weld County government
offices has been very positive.
