To the Weld County Commissioners:
I am writing on behalf of the Parkland Homeowners Association with regard to the recent
installation of cable lines in our community. Our neighborhood has had a very negative
experience with the quality of work done by the contractor.
We have experienced multiple inconveniences due to electric outages, telephone outages,
and natural gas line cuts. This is in addition to damage done to private, community, and County
property. After cable lines were laid into trenches cut by the workmen, dirt was pushed over the
trenches without any proper compaction or care as to the type of fill being used. As a result,
residents have had to purchase road base material and repair their driveways. Road shoulders in
front of mailboxes have also suffered. The work crews piled equipment against a fence owned by
the community. The fence now requires repairs because it is sagging due to the weight of the
items leaning against it. Culverts crossing our streets have been crushed which will cost the
County time and money to repair.
It is our hope that the County Commissioners request that the contractor exercise more
care in the future, sparing other communities the inconveniences and negative experiences
Parkland has suffered.
If I can answer any questions, please feel free to contact me at (303)828-3556. Thank you
for your time.
Sincerely, /'2
