Re: Ray-Glo Holsteins Expansion
To Whom It May Concern,
Another of our fine family owned dairy operations is applying for permits to expand their
operation. Ray-Go Holsteins is a family owned and operated business that has been in operation
for many years. They are and have been pure bred breeders from which our future generations of
genetics will continue to come from. They are needed in the dairy business in order lo keep and
propagate good foundation bloodlines from which all dairymen will benefit in the future.
Granting this permit will hopefully assist another generation to carry on the tradition of the
Ray-Glo Holsteins name. I wholeheartedly support their expansion plans. If you have any
further questions concerning their operation, please call me at (970) 222-5285 during the day or
in the evenings at (303) 857-4510.
Yours truly,
Ernie Unrein

Re: Ray-Gio Registered Holsteins, Special Use Permit for 2,000 Animals
Raymond M.Anderson
We at High Country IBA, LLC are very much in favor and support the granting
of the Special Use Permit for Ray-Co Holsteins. Weld County is and will continue to
be the leader in dairy cattle in the State of Colorado and ranks within the top 100
counties in the United States in milk production.
We need more people like the Andersons who are willing to invest in the future
of dairy farming in Weld County and Colorado. They have progressively upgraded their
operation and continue to excel in the dairy community.
As a growing Weld County agri-business,we know what is involved in expansion
and growth and being prepared for the future. Weld County Commissioners have issued
many special use permits for dairy farm expansion and the Andersons should be added
to the growing list.
Sincerely,
Gerald P. Hoyt, Owner

RE: Ray Glo Holsteins Special Use Permit
To Whom It May Concern,
We live one mile south of Ray Anderson and would like to support a decision in favor of a"Special Use Permit"for
Ray-Glo Holsteins.
This endeavor is very positive for the area because of more employment and more feed sales from neighboring
farms.

Dear County Commissioners:
On behalf of the Ray Glo Dairy Farm owned by Raymond and Gloria Anderson
of 33796 WCR 57. Gill, Colorado, I would like to express my support for their
application for a permit for use by special review of Weld County Government. To the
best of my knowledge, Ray has always been a good neighbor to all of his adjacent
property owners.
Raymond Anderson has also been an outstanding member of the community.
lie has raised a family who have returned many great contributions to our Weld County
area.
In order for the Ray Glo Dairy Farm to take advantage of their efficiencies with
this dairy Lunn, this permit will help keep it competitive in the new millenium. This use
by special rev'.ew for this farm fits with all the current issues and regulations that exist
today.
I highly recommend to you to support this permit that Raymond and Gloria
Anderson are applying for.
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely.

Expansion Ray Anderson & Ray Glo Dairy on
Road 5'7 Gill, Colorado
We produce feed to sell to livestock operations, as do other crop
farmers in the area. It costs a lot of money to put wheels under these
feed crops and move them great distances. Feed crops prices are
depressed and all costs of production are very high (taxes, seed, fuel,
equipment and parts).
Having a larger dairy in the area is very important to the entire
community and to all farmers in the area and Ag related businesses of
the Greeley area for a market for their products.
The Au dersons have a modern barn that will service more cows so
more cows going through this barn will reduce fixed costs per head.
toES Is the second and third generation of the Anderson family on the
same farm dairying. It is a very well run operation operated by a
dedicated family.
The agricultural community needs this kind of operation in the
area now, to survive.

P.S. This dairy produces a market of over $60,000.00 of crops that we
produced on our two agricultural farm in a two mile radius of this
operation in 1999, and we are not the only producers in the area that
sold feed and service to the Anderson Dairy.

1 have known the Andersons for a number of years. They are very respected in the community and arc
involved in community affairs. Their involment in the operation of Irrigation Companies as well as the
school is a definite asset.
A visit to their dairy would show it to be a well managed operation. The livestock, equipment and
facilities are well maintained.
Agriculture and the dairy industry have a very positive impact on the area. They employ several
employees and previde a market for feed and other services.
Having an operation of this caliber would be a plus to any community. I would recommend approval of
