RE: APPROVE REAPPOINTMENTS TO CHILD PROTECTION CITIZEN REVIEW PANEL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Child Protection Citizen Review Panel, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #990772, dated April 12, 1999, the Board changed member
terms from one year to three; therefore, members must be reappointed, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Gilbert Burgerhoff, Kelley Hekowczyk, Janet
Flaugher, Susan Bjorland, and Barbara Rodgers be reappointed to said board, and that
Alternate Kathleen Laurin be reappointed, to replace Duane Farrington as a regular member,
and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reappoint Gilbert Burgerhoff and Kathleen
Laurin to said board, with their terms to expire March 4, 2000; to reappoint Kelley Hekowczyk
and Janet Flaugher, with their terms to expire March 4, 2001; and to reappoint Susan Bjorland
and Barbara Rodgers with their terms to expire March 4, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Gilbert Burgerhoff and Kathleen Laurin be, and hereby are
reappointed to the Child Protection Citizen Review Panel, with their terms to expire March 4,
2000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Kelley Hekowczyk and Janet Flaugher
be, and hereby are reappointed to the Child Protection Citizen Review Panel, with their terms to
expire March 4, 2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Susan Bjorland and Barbara Rodgers
be, and hereby are reappointed to the Child Protection Citizen Review Panel, with their terms to
expire March 4, 2002.

Child Protection Citizen Review Panel
When this board was created March, 1998, all panel members were appointed for
one year. Their terms expired 03-04-99. The Board of Commissioners passed a
resolution 04-1:2-99 changing member terms to three years in length.
Therefore, all members must be reappointed.
Terms will expire March 4 of the following years:
Member Term Expires
Susan Bjorland 2002
Barbara Rodgers 2002
Janet Flaugher 2001
Kelley Hekowczylc 2001
Gilbert Burgerhoff 2000 (alternate)
Alternate Kathleen Laurin will be reappointed. However, she will be
reassigned as a regular member with a term expiring 2000. She replaces Duane
Farrington.
