To Whom It May Concern;
This letter is in response to the concern the Weld County Planning Commission has with using
our existing well for use in our horse operations.
I have attached a copy of our well permit along with the conditions of approval that go along with
the permit Condition#4 slates the use of this water is limited to ordinary household purposes,watering of
domestic aniwals,and irrigation of not more than 1 acre. The permit also gives a detailed description of
the use,which states: livestock,households,lawn,septic tanks,&leach fields.
I have been in contact with the Division of Water Resources and I have given them all the
information about oar facility,the number of animals,our intentions with the well,and they assured me
that this well permit covers all of our needs. A domestic animal,according to the Division of Water
Resources is: dog,ca,chickens,horse,cows,etc..- The only situation that this would not be covered I if
we opened a feed lot and had numerous amounts of cattle(i.e.hundreds). I asked if we needed a letter to
give to the board stating these condition and they thought that a copy of the well permit with the
conditions of approval should suffice.

ISSUANCE OF THIS PERMIT DOES NOT CONFER A WATER RIGHT
CONDRIONS OF APPROVAL
1) This well shall be used In such a way as to cause no material injury to existing water rights. The Issuance of the
permit does not assure the applicant that no injury will occur to another vested water right or preclude another
owner of a vested water right from seeking relief in a civil court action.
2) The construction of this well shall be in compliance with the Water WeilConstruction and Pump Installation Rules
2 OCR 402-2, unless approval of a variance has been granted by the State Board of Examiners of Water Well
Construction and Pump Installation Contractors in accordance with Rule 17.
3) Approved pursuant to CRS 37-92-602(3)(b)(I) and policy of the State Engineer under the following conditions.
4) The use of ground water from this well is limited to ordinary household purposes inside one single family dwelling,
the watering of domestic animals, and the irrigation of not more than 1 acre of home gardens and lawns.
5) Production from this well is restricted to the Laramie-Fox Hills aquifer which corresponds to the interval between
495 feet and 785 feet below ground surface. Plain casing shall be installed and sealed to prevent production from
other zones.
6) The maximum pumping rate shall not exceed 15 GPM,
7) The annual amount of ground water to be withdrawn shall not exceed 3 acre-feet.
8) The issuance of this permit cancels permit no. 180523.
9) The return flow from the use of the well must be through an individual waste water disposal system of the type so
that not less than 2% of the total amount of water withdrawn is returned to the same stream system in which the
well is located.
10) This well shall be constructed not more than 200 feet from the location specified on this permit.
Note: To insure a maximum productive life of this well, perforated casing 2hould be set through the entire
producing interval of the approved zone or aquifer indicated above. 2_12(f13c
