We live in Evanston between Firestone and Frederick We have no police protection over
here . When we do call for help we have to wait sometimes two or three hours. We really
get frustrated over this and many other things. People come down our street and go pretty
fast its people from other neighborhoods. We have asked for speed signs or maybe
speed bumbs or even to have officers patrole our neighborhood a little more. They seem
to come down here when we say something for a day or two and diets it. We all have
children here and they come back and forth to each others house. We need to have some
kind of law or protection from these drivers before they kill one of our children. We pay
taxes just like the next guy, but yet we feel we are on our own. This is not fair. People are
not forced to keep the weeds down or the empty houses closed up so kids won't get hurt
in them or God knows what would live in them. On weekends it never fails we find beer
bottles or whiskey bottles on the sides of the street, because young kids know it is safe
from cops. So they party down here when we are in our homes asleep. I could go on
forever the things we live with here. We are all trying to get this neighborhood nice we
have worked bard to get our homes nice and our yards in good shape. We need your help
that we deserve.We are good law abiding citizens We would really appreciate some
concern.
