The appropriate documentation is attached. cc: Drew Scheltinga, County Engineer Bridge File 129/92A m:wpfles\engineer\agenda) 980297 Justification for Change Order #1 for J-2 Contracting Company Weld County entered into a contract with J-2 Contracting to perform emergency repair work on bridge #129.0-092.0A. This bridge was damaged during the '97' flooding and is 100% funded by FHWA. The contract included foundation and minor erosion repair work. During the course of the dewatering phase it was discovered that large amounts of silt was deposited after the flooding. This silt had to be removed before repairs to the foundation could be made. An additional 541.55 c.y. of excavation was needed to remove the extra silt. The additional silt that needed to be removed and stockpiled added one acre of unanticipated damage to grassland at the site. The property is owned by the Town of New Raymer and agreements were made to seed and mulch the disturbed area and replace a 15" driveway culvert and regravel the driveway. These changes added $9,763.89 to the project. The project is complete and invoices are being made to FHWA for this project. 980297 Hello
