RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO FAIR BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Weld County Fair Board, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Tom Bledsoe, Linda Block, and Jim Gabel be
reappointed to said board, with terms expiring October 31, 1998; that Evelyn Hoffman replace
Janice Roskop and Margaret Carlson replace Anita Wiescamp, with terms expiring October 31,
1996; and that Sandee Legino replace Bill Dumler, Willard Kendall replace Bill DeMoss, Bill Dudley
replace Shirley Ashbaugh, and Jim Welch replace Kathy French, all with terms to expire
October 31, 1998, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reappoint and appoint said individuals to said
board, with their terms to expire as above stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Tom Bledsoe, Linda Block, and Jim Gabel be, and hereby are, reappointed
to the Weld County Fair Board, with terms expiring October 31, 1998; that Evelyn Hoffman and
Margaret Carlson be, and hereby are, appointed to said board, with terms expiring October 31,
1996; and that Sandee Legino, Willard Kendall, Bill Dudley, and Jim Welch be, and hereby are,
appointed to said board, all with terms expiring October 31, 1998.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 2nd day of October, A.D., 1995.

Re: Fair Board Appointments
The weld County Fair Board nominating committee, chaired by Howard Erwin,
presented fifteen (15) nominees to the Board to fill seven (7) terms, expiring October 31,
1995, plus two (2) one-year terms to complete terms for Anita Weiscamp and Janice
Roskop. Anita Weiscamp has moved out of the county and has been dropped for
lack of participation. Janice Roskop has resigned one year before completing her
second three-year term, due to personal reasons.
According to the Fair Board Bylaws, one board member must be an FFA advisor. The
term for Bill DeMoss of Valley High School Vo Ag, current representative, expires this
year. His recommended replacement is Willard Kendall of Weld Central High School,
who has agreed to accept this responsibility. This representative is one of the seven (7)
new appointees, but was not on the ballot given to current board members.
The following candidates, except for Willard Kendall, are listed in order of their ranking
by written ballots of the current board members. All new candidates submitted written
applications and were invited to attend the September meeting to introduce themselves
to the board:
