The above referenced ad hoc committees have concluded their work as outlined
by the Board of Weld County Commissioners.
1. The Interagency Strategic Planning Committee successfully completed
their tasks of forming shelter and case management funding formulas and
procedures. The Department may request the ad hoc committee be
reconstituted at a later date as the need arises and as the funding
formulas and procedures are tested.
2. The Migrant Housing Project Committee developed their first model
migrant housing project in Pecham and developed the mechanism for
future migrant housing projects in Weld County, This mechanism
involves the creation of the Weld County Farm Labor Sponsoring
Association, which will be led by growers, and the involvement of the
High Plains Development Corporation, which will manage the migrant
housing projects for the Weld County Farm Labor Sponsoring Association.
The Migrant Housing Project Committee has also successfully concluded
their work.
