RE: 1997 FINANCIAL AUDIT
Dear Mr. Warden:
In September 1996, Weld County, Colorado (Weld) and Hunt, Spillman
& Associates, P.C. (HSA) entered into a contract agreement wherein
HSA would perform annual audit services for Weld County.
Because of professional staffing and scheduling issues, we do not
believe that we can complete the 1997 audit within the time
guidelines set out in the contract agreement.
Therefore, we regretfully inform you that in accordance with
Section 8.3 of the agreement, we are hereby giving notice to
terminate the agreement, effective September 19, 1997.
Professional responsibility to you, the client, and to our firm
dictate the necessity of this decision. Thank you for allowing us
to serve your audit needs for 1996. We look forward to working
with you in the future.
