This is in response to your letter dated November 5, 1998, concerning the conditions of
Weld County Road 127. Spot graveling has been scheduled this fall on Weld County Road
127 between Highway 14 and Weld County Road 110. The exact schedule is depending
upon the weather.

Dear County Commissioners;
Rs a school bus driver for Prairie School I am concerned about the
condition of CR 127, north of highway 14. The road was graveled as
far as CR 98. From there on north to CR 110 it is slick, rutted and has
chuck holes.
It doesn't take much moisture to make it slick. The hill north of Denis
Bringelson's has chuck holes and ruts. Anyone coming from the south
could hit those holes and cause damage to their vehicle or an
accident. They cannot be seen until you are on top of them. Joe
worked on it, but there is only so much he can do without road base.
People have slipped into the ditch coming down the hill or gotten
stuck going up the hill.
The road from there north to CR 110 is slick, rutted and dangerous,
also. If there is an approaching vehicle, a person doesn't feel safe
driving on his own side of the road because of the soft road. It is
much safer to drive in the middle. I have a four-wheel drive bus and
it's still dangerous.
Joe Kugler does a good job on the roads. If there is no gravel, he has
nothing to work with.
Please look into this matter as I am responsible for the lines of
children from several families and I would like for them and me to be
safe. Rt this point in time I don't feel we have a safe road on which
to drive.
