HomeMy WebLinkAbout630154.tiffGRANTING APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE GREAT WESTERN SUGAR COMPANY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, did, on the 21st day of January 1963, at 2:00 P.M., conduct a public hearing concerning the recommendation of the Weld County Planning Commission, that the Board of County Commissioners act as a Board of Adjustment thereby approving Application for Variance by the Great Western Sugar Company for construction out into the setback a distance of eight feet, one inch, said variance being for the purpose of providing space in the warehouse for the storage of pulp, and in addition, adequate room will be provided for the building of loading bins and a truck weighing scale. WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be to the best interests of Weld County to approve the recommendation of the Weld County Planning Commission to grant the Application for Variance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, does and hereby confirms, ratifies and adopts the recommendation of the Weld County Planning Commission to grant Application for Variance for the aforementioned construction by the Great Western Sugar Company. The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote. Chairman Ewing called the meeting to order, and Mr. Raymond Kiser, Civil Engineer for the Great Western Sugar Company, Denver, Colorado, presented his case for approval to the Board. Mr. Kiser asked that permission be granted for construction out into the setback a distance of eight feet, one inch for the purpose of providing capacity enough in the warehouse for the storage of pulp. The space also would be utilized for a loading bin.and truck weighing scale. Mr. Ewing suggested that the motion be made for the granting of the variance. Mr. used made the motion that the variance be approved. Mr. Ewing seconded the motion. Motion made and approved, and the variance was granted. There being no further business, the meeting was recessed until 4:00 P.M. NOT I C E Pursuant of the Zoning Laws of the State of Colorado, the Weld County Planning Commission recommend and certify to the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, acting as a Board of Adjustment, the approval of the application for Variance submitted by the Great Western Sugar Company for the reduction of setback from 50 feet from the center line of First Avenue to 41 feet, 11 inches, providing location of a warehouse scale and loading facilities at 13th Street and 1st Avenue, Greeley, Colorado, more particularly described as a portion of land in the NW4NWt of Section 9, Township 5 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P. M., Weld County, Colorado. The hearing will be held in the office of the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County Courthouse, Greeley, Colorado, on Monday, January 21, 1963, at 2:00 o'clock, P. M.
