RE: APPROVE CHANGE OF ZONE#523 FROM C-1 ZONE DISTRICT TO C-3 ZONE DISTRICT
FOR ONE PARCEL - DON CARLISLE
A public hearing was conducted on June 2, 1999, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated May 19, 1999, and duly published May 22, 1999,
in the Fort Lupton Press, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Don Carlisle
for Change of Zone#523 from C-1 Zone District to C-3 Zone District for one parcel. Lee Morrison,
Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Ben Patton, Department of Planning
Services, presented a brief summary of the proposal and entered the favorable recommendation
of the Planning Commission into the record as written. Mr. Patton gave a brief description of the
location of the site, as well as the surrounding uses, and submitted a referral from the City of
Greeley, marked Exhibit E. He stated the site is currently occupied by a mobile home sales
business and is served by the North Weld County Water District and a Weld County approved
septic system. Mr. Patton stated the site is accessed from the U.S. Highway 85 Frontage Road;
five referrals have been received with no opposition to the proposal, and he reviewed the reasons
for conditional approval by the Planning Commission.
Don Carlisle, applicant, was present; however, he had no further comments for the Board. No
public testimony was offered concerning this matter. In response to Commissioner Vaad, Mr.
Carlisle indicated he has reviewed and agrees with the Conditions of Approval.
Commissioner Vaad moved to approve the request of Don Carlisle for Change of Zone#523 from
C-1 Zone District to C-3 Zone District for one parcel, based on the recommendations of the
Planning staff and the Planning Commission, with the Conditions of Approval as entered into the
record. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Baxter, and it carried unanimously.
