HomeMy WebLinkAbout981560.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 1999 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 1999 as days off for Weld County employees: New Year's Day Friday, January 1, 1999 Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 15, 1999 Memorial Day Monday, May 31, 1999 Independence Day Friday, July 2, 1999, (replaces Colorado Day) and July 4th falls on Sunday; therefore, Monday, July 5, 1999, is taken. Labor Day Monday, September 6, 1999 Veterans Day Thursday, November 11, 1999 Thanksgiving Thursday, November 25, 1999, and Friday, November 26, 1999 (replaces King's Birthday) Christmas Thursday, December 23, 1999, (replaces Columbus Day) and Friday, December 24, 1999 (Christmas falls on Saturday) *Note - New Year's Day for the year 2000 falls on Saturday; therefore, holiday is taken Friday, December 31, 1999. FLOATING HOLIDAYS: Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of Colorado. District Attorney -- July 2, November 26, and December 23, 1999. 981560 BC0026 RE: 1999 LEGAL HOLIDAYS PAGE 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the calendar year of 1999 as days off for Weld County employees. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of September, A.D., 1998.
