WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Wednesday, August 20,
1969, at 3:00 P. M. in the chambers of the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, for the purpose of hearing a petition of E. R.
Austin, 1203 - 9th Street, Greeley, Colorado, requesting a change of zone
from "E" Estates District to "HD" High Density District, and
WHEREAS, the petitioner was not present, and
WHEREAS, there was much opposition to the change of zone, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the re-
quest of the petitioner and studied the recommendation of the Weld County Plan-
ning Commission as submitted on June 19, 1969, and having been fully informed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, that the petition of E. R. Austin, 1203 - 9th Street, Greeley,
Colorado, for a change of zone from "E" Estates District to "HD" High Density
District, said area being more particularly described as follows:
A tract of land located in the NE4 of Section
14, Township 5 North, Range 66 West of the
6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado being more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the NE corner of said Section
14 and considering the East line of the NE4 of
said Section 14 to bear south 01°41'10" East
and with all other bearings contained herein
being relative thereto:
Thence South 01°41'10" East along said East
line of the NE4 of said Section 14, 366.37 feet
to the True Point of Beginning; thence continu-
ing South 01°41'10" East along the east line of
the NE4 of said Section 14, 963.29 feet; thence
South 89°58'20" West, 1, 425.23 feet; thence
North 03°33'00" West, 383. 70 feet; thence North
03°25'00" West, 948. 50 feet to a point on the
North line of the NE4 of said Section 14; thence
North 90°00'00" East along the north line of the
NE+ of said Section 14, 1,206.40 feet; thence
South 01°41'10" East, 366.37 feet; thence North
90°00'00" East, 260.00 feet to the True point of
beginning Contains 41.950 acres mil
is hereby denied for the reasons contained in the Resolution submitted by the
Weld County Planning Commission which is incorporated herein by reference
and made a part hereof.

Moved by __Henry_Brunner that the following resolution be introduced for pas-
sage by the Weld County Planning Commission:
Be it Resolved by the Weld County Planning Commission that the application
for rezoning from ■S! ( Estates District to HD ( High Density
District) of of
covering the following described property in Weld County, Colorado, to -wit:
Parcel located in the Northeast Quarter (NET) of the Northeast
Quarter (NET) of Section Fourteen (14) Township Five (5) North,
Range Sixty-six (66) West of the 6th P. M., Weld County, Colorado
containing 40 acres more or less. See attached plat.
be recommended ( (unfavorably) to the Board of County Commissioners
for the following reasons: Failed to sustain proof for a change of zone or
present zoning is fatty. Inhabitants in vicinity are opposed to change of
zone. Present zoning is complementary to surrounding area. A moratorium was
suggested by the City Planning commission on zone changes until comprehensive
plan is completed.
