IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION FROM A MEMO RECEIVED 8-6-97 FROM BLACKFOX
TECHNOLOGY THAT ALL EQUIPMENT WAS REMOVED FROM THEIR FACILITY IN NOVEMBER 1995.
THE EQUIPMENT WAS REMOVED OUT OF WELD COUNTY. AT THE TIME WE FILED OUR 1996 & 1997
FILING RENDITION WE WERE UNAWARE THAT THE EQUIPMENT WAS MOVED. NORWEST
EQUIPMENT FINANCE PAID THE 96 TAX BILL ON 4-9-97. I AM NOW REQUESTING A REFUND OF
IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,556.82 FOR 1996 THIS REPRESENTS WHAT NORWEST EQUIPMENT
FINANCE C HAS PAID ON BEHALF OF BLACKFOX. I AM REQUESTING THE 1997 TAXES BE

Leasing company personnel (Norwest Equipment) were unaware that Blackf.ox Technology
had moved the equipment in question to Boulder County from Weld County and
filed ' declaration schedules to Weld County. When the company discovered the error,
petitioner filed an abatement. Our staff confirmed that Boulder County has had the
i ment on the' a 11 for 1996 and 1997.

Dear Property Owner:
This is to advise you that the Weld County Board of Commissioners will hear your petition for
abatement or refund of taxes on the property described as: HP TEST SYSTEM DIE CAST
EQUIPMENT. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 1998, at 9:00 a.m., at
which time you may be heard. You are required to submit any supporting documentation regarding
this petition to the Office of the Clerk to the Board and to the Weld County Assessor's Office at
least seven calendar days prior to the meeting date in order for it to be considered at said meeting.
The Assessor is recommending that the Board approve your petition.
The meeting will be held in the First Floor Meeting Room, Weld County Centennial Center, 915
