Weld County Department of Planning Ser Weld County Administrative Offices 1400 N. 17th Avenue Greeley, CO 80631 SEP 2 3 1996 RE: Case Number - USR-1124 m `, Harlan Wall I ED Dear Ms . Keithley We understand it may be too late to comment on the above mentioned case and we apologize for the delay in returning these comments to you. The West Adams Soil Conservation District with the assistance of the Natural Resources Conservation Service have the following comments : Harlan Wall has applied for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit to park/store his construction equipment . Mr. Wall has been using the site for this purpose for the past ten years . No request has been made for either a well or septic system. An above ground 200 gallon gasoline tank is located on the north side of the property within ten feet of the Neres Ditch. While there is potential danger of a spill contaminating the water, there are no state or federal regulations pertaining to above ground tanks of less than 660 gallons . Our only recommendation for this property is that Mr. Wall continue in his efforts to control weeds on this lot, since its proximity to the ditch will facilitate weed seed dispersal . Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this information. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
