RE: APPROVE REQUEST FOR FUNDING FROM AREA AGENCY ON AGING AND TOWN
OF DACONO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Request for Funding from the Weld
County Division of Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, and the Town of Dacono, to the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, on behalf of the Weld County Housing Authority, for a study to determine the feasibility of
a senior housing project for Dacono, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said
request, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, ex-officio Housing Authority Board, that the Request for Funding from the Weld
County Division of Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, and the Town of Dacono, to the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, on behalf of the Weld County Housing Authority, be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 29th day of May, A.D., 1996.

SUBJECT: Dacono Senior Housing Study
DATE: May 22, 1996
As discussed at the Housing Authority Work Session of May 20, 1996, the
Area Agency on Aging and Dacono are requesting a $500.00 contribution from Weld County
Housing Authority for a study to determine the feaasiblity for a senior housing project for
Dacono.
Funding for this request would come from our operating reserve. Approximately $153,960
is available in operating reserve.
Staff is recommending approval of the request from Area Agency on Aging and the the Town
of Dacono.
