Dear Mr. Fraser:
This is in response to your letter dated March 27, 1996, regarding a joint effort to improve Weld
County Road (WCR) 21. The Commissioners are willing to pay for a four-foot wide asphalt
shoulder adjacent to the 12-foot traffic lane for the portion of road within Weld County.
The Commissioners would expect the Town of Milliken to competitively bid and contract the work.
Weld County will pay its share based on the unit prices bid for the work performed within Weld
County. Upon completion of the work, the Commissioners will expect the Town to annex that
portion of WCR 21.
To proceed, please contact Drew Scheltinga, County Engineer, at (970)356-4000 Ext. 3750 to
discuss the preparation of a written agreement between the Town of Milliken and Weld County.
