RE: SHOW CAUSE HEARING CONCERNING SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT #650 FOR A
GREYHOUND KENNEL - JOEL AND GLORIA KUGLER
A public hearing was conducted on April 27, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Chair
Commissioner W. H. Webster, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated April 8, 1998, and duly published April 15, 1998, in
the Platteville Herald, a Show Cause Hearing was conducted to consider whether to revoke Special
Review Permit#650 for a Greyhound Kennel. Bruce Barker, County Attorney, explained Mr. Kugler
sent a letter to the Department of Planning Services requesting Special Use Permit #650 be
revoked because he has no interest in running a greyhound kennel. In response to Commissioner
Kirkmeyer, Mr. Barker advised the Board to dismiss the Show Cause Hearing and then revoke
Special Use Permit #650. Mr. Kugler was not present and no public testimony was offered
concerning this matter. Commissioner Hall moved to dismiss the Show Cause Hearing. Seconded
by Commissioner Baxter, the motion carried unanimously. Commissioner Hall moved to revoke
Special Use Permit#650. Seconded by Commissioner Webster, the motion carried unanimously.
