Dear Ms. Johnson:
In response to your request dated December 14, 1998, to extend the Use by Special Review
and Certificate of Designation for the Northern Colorado Brine Facility, we do not feel an
extension to be the appropriate manner in which to deal with your request. Since Development
Standard #18 specifically states that, if still in operation at the end of a fifteen-year period,
. . the applicant shall submit a new U.S.R., and Certificate of Designation application." Please
be advised Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, has been in contact with the California
counsel hired by Mr. Cervi about any other possible approaches.
