COMMERCIAL BUSINESS (AUTO AND FARM MACHINERY REPAIR) IN THE
A (AGRICULTURAL)ZONE DISTRICT -JOE R. GAONA
A public hearing was conducted on January 17, 1996, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Pro-Tern
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Planning Department representative, Gloria Dunn
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice and an amended notice dated December 27, 1995, and duly
published January 4, 1996, in the North Weld Herald, a public hearing was conducted to consider
the request of Joe R. Gaona for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit for
a commercial business (auto and farm machinery repair) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Bruce
Barker, County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Gloria Dunn, Planning Department
representative, stated a letter from the applicants was received yesterday requesting this matter be
continued to January 31, 1996, at 10:00 a.m., to allow the applicant additional time to satisfy
Condition of Approval #3 which reads as follows: "Prior to the Board of County Commissioners
hearing, the applicant shall submit a screening plan to the Department of Planning Services for
review and approval." Ms. Dunn noted staff supports this request for continuance and answered
questions from the Board. No public testimony was offered concerning the continuance of this
matter. Commissioner Harbert moved to continue the request of Joe R. Gaona for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a commercial business (auto and farm machinery
repair) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, to January 31, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. The motion was
seconded by Commissioner Hall, and it carried unanimously.
