RE: APPROVE LIST OF PERSONS WITH LABOR RELATIONS AND/OR LEGAL
BACKGROUNDS FOR WELD COUNTY GRIEVANCE BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the section entitled, "2. COMPOSITION OF THE GRIEVANCE
BOARD", in the "Grievance Hearings" portion of the Weld County Personnel Policy Handbook,
Ordinance #118, as amended, the Board of County Commissioners must choose persons with
labor relations and/or legal backgrounds to serve as the Chairperson for the Weld County
Grievance Board, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to approve a list of
persons who are so qualified, one of whom will be appointed by the Director of the Weld County
Personnel Department to hear a particular grievance requested by an employee pursuant to the
grievance procedures in the Weld County Personnel Policy Handbook.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that those persons who are qualified with labor relations and/or legal
backgrounds and who may appointed by the Director of the Personnel Department to sit as
Chairperson for the Weld County Grievance Board in particular grievance cases are the
following individuals: Thomas David, Mark Geil, Don Hoff, Jacqueline Johnson, Stan Peek,
Mark Rapp, and Todd Taylor.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 9th day of March, A.D., 1998.
