Home My WebLink About992986.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - BANNER HEALTH SYSTEMS, OPERATOR OF NORTH COLORADO MEDICAL CENTER WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Memorandum of Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and Banner Health Systems, operator of North Colorado Medical Center, commencing January 1, 2000, and ending December 31, 2000, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Memorandum of Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and Banner Health Systems, operator of North Colorado Medical Center, be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said amendment. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 20th day of December, A.D., 1999. RECITALS A. NCMC and County entered into that certain Agreement, dated January 1, 1999, pursuant to which County has awarded to NCMC a sum of Weld County General Fund monies to provide psychiatric inpatient care for patients held under Section 27-10, CRS and NCMC agreed to provide such mental health services to Weld County citizens. B. NCMC and County now desire to amend the Agreement and Amendments thereto, if any, in certain respects. Now, therefore, incorporating the above Recitals and in consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. References to "Lutheran Health Systems" shall be changed to "Banner Health System" in all cases. 2. Page 1, Section 2 shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: Contract Period will be from January 1, 2000 through December 31, 2000. 3. Full Force and Effect. Except as expressly provided herein, the Agreement shall remain unmodified and in full force and effect.
