RE: APPROVE ASSIGNMENT OF TAX SALE CERTIFICATES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR
TO SIGN - MCPEEK
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board now is the owner of Tax Sale Certificate#536/94, a copy of which
is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, which relates to property known as the
former Road 31 Disposal Site, and
WHEREAS, Treasurer's Deed #3907 was issued to Robert McPeek on October 14,
1996, and Weld County has held the Tax Sale Certificate until environmental cleanup is
complete, and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending assignment of said Tax Sale Certificate for the sum
of$1, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said assignment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer be, and hereby is, directed to prepare Tax
Sale Certificate #536/94, for assignment to Robert L. McPeek, dba I N B Land and Cattle, LLC.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign any necessary documentation to affect said assignment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 20th day of July, A.D., 1998.

Please place on agenda Monday assigment of tax sale certificates ( ts536/94,
1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 taxes) parcel ID number 130922000044, to Robert L.
McPeek dba I N B Land and Cattle LLC
This is pursuant to crs 39-11-122 which allows sale or assigment of county
held tax certificates for less than face value under such terms as the Board
may set subject to review by the state only if for more than $10000 . The
taxes penalties and interest owed is now $3733.62. The proposed cost to McPeek
would be $14. He has accomplished the environmental cleanup proposed and all
that remains is the passage of time for the bioremediation to occur and the
need to have future use of the biosolids reviewed by the health department.

COMMISSIONERS A RECOMMENDATION TO "SELL" THE COUNTY HELD TAX LIEN
SALE CERTIFICATE FOR AN AMOUNT OF$1.00.
THE AMOUNT DUE AT THIS TIME ON THE CERTIFICATE IS $3733.62.
ASSUMING MR. MCPEEK HAS FINISHED WITH THE CLEANUP, IT WOULD BE
APPROPRIATE AT THIS TIME TO COMPLETE THE PAPER WORK. "SALE" FOR $1.00
AND "REDEEM FOR FEES" $13.00.
