RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Agreement for
$36,092.00 between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and the Weld
County Attorney, commencing January 1, 1995, and ending December 31, 1995, with further terms
and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to the Agreement for
$36,092.00 between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and the Weld
County Attorney be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 10th day of April, A.D., 1996, nunc pro tunc January 1, 1995.

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
BETWEEN WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
AND WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY
This Amendment made and entered into this 10th Day of April 1996, by and between Bruce
Barker, County Attorney, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor," and the Weld County Department
of Social Services, hereinafter referred to as "Department":
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties desire to modify their current contract for legal services (No. 62397) in
order to increase its funding; and
WHEREAS, the authority exists in the Law and funds have been budgeted, appropriated and
otherwise made available; and
WHEREAS, required approval, clearance and coordination have been accomplished from and
with appropriate agencies.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto covenant and agree as
follows:
1. Exhibit I, Item C. The Total Personnel Costs computation shall be increased to $36,092.
2. Exhibit II, Item 1. The Services or Personnel costs. including employee benefits line item
shall be increased to $36,092.
3. Exhibit II, Total Costs shall be increased to $36,092.
Except as modified herein, the terms and conditions of the original agreement (No. 62397) together
with all exhibits of the original Agreement, remain in full force and effect.

Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to an Agreement between the Weld County
Attorney and the Weld County Department of Social Services.
The purpose of the Amendment is to increase the funding of the Agreement from $24,900 to
$36,092.
The term of the original Agreement will continue to be January 1, 1990 through December 31,
1990. S
