Dear Mr. Knapp:
Representatives from the Public Works Department have investigated the drainage problems in
Peaceful Acres that you brought up in your September letter to the commissioners.
Unfortunately, the study shows that your property lies at the lowest point in the surrounding area.
Water will always run to the lowest point, and there does not seem to be an easy solution to your
problems. The formation of a drainage district may be required and would require the
cooperation and participation of the entire subdivision and the area surrounding it.
The gravel work was done to improve the quality of the road system in the area. Further
conversation is needed among the subdivision, Weld County and Ft. Lupton to see what the
possible solutions are available.
