RE: DECLARE SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZE SALE OF OLD GILCREST GRADER SHED
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Administrative Manual require that all items
disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that property now owned by Weld County,
Colorado, and described as Lots 8 and 9, Block 21, Town of Gilcrest, Weld County, Colorado, is
no longer required for County use as a grader shed, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a bid proposal from the Platteville Fire
Protection District, P.O. Box 122, Platteville, Colorado 80651, to buy said property for and in
consideration of the sum of $2,000.00, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said property as surplus and accept
said bid proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned property be, and hereby is, declared surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the bid proposal from the Platteville Fire
Protection District in the amount of $2,000.00 be, and hereby is, accepted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 26th day of July, A.D., 1995.

SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED
THIS DEED is made this 3r c\ day of R vest , 1995, between the County of Weld, a political
subdivision of the State of Colorado, whose address is 915 Tenth Street, Greeley,Colorado 80631, Grantor, and the
Platteville Fire Protection District, whose address is P. O. Box 122, Platteville, Colorado 80651, Grantee.
WITNESSETH, that the Grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.00),
the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these
presents does grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm, unto the Grantee, their heirs and assigns forever, all the real
property, together with improvements, if any, situate, lying and being in the County of Weld, State of Colorado, and
being described as follows:
All of the real property shown and described in the attached Exhibit "A".
TOGETHER with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging, or in anywise
appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof; and all the
estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever of the Grantor, either in law or equity of, in and to the above
bargained premises, with the hereditaments and appurtenances;
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises above bargained and described with the appurtenances, unto
the Grantee, their heirs and assigns forever. The Grantor, for itself, its heirs and personal representatives or successors,
does covenant and agree that the Grantor shall and will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the above -bargained
premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the Grantee, their heirs and assigns, against all and every person or
persons claiming the whole or any part thereof, by, through or under the Grantor.

Dear Mr. Warden:
At the last meeting of the Platteville Fire Protection District Board of Directors we
discussed the property located n Gilcrest that the county may consider selling to the Fire
District. We understand that this property consists of a full lot and building. As we have
discussed the Fire District is interested in this property due to being out of space at our
Fire Station located two building to the east. At this time we our fp e � its o problems,
first we have not budgeted for this purchase and fends are running re tight for us this
year. Secondly we feel the building on this property will require major work or possible
tearing down and a new building constructed in the future. At this time the Platteville Fire
District would like to offer Weld County the sum of $2,000.00 to purchase this property.
