We want to voice our opposition to this zoning change request. We live immediately west of the property in question and believe that a super motocross track would be detrimental to our quality of life because of increased noise from the track and from increased traffic down WCR 398. A super motocross track would devalue our property as well as other properties in the vicinity. In addition, a super motocross track would endanger the existing wildlife in the area. The property in question in located in an agricultural area, not a recreational one. A super motocross track does not belong here. We urge the board to refuse this zoning change request. Basic Services 1. Travel to Keenesburg and measure the A-weighted noise levels at the supercross track property line,and at two locations approximately 500 feet and 1000 feet from the property line,respectively. The measurements will be taken while supercross races are simulated on the track. Each measurement will be an Leg of 5-minute duration. The A-weighted L,q is a common index for measuring environmental noise. It is a type of average which represents the steady level which. integrated over a time period,would produce the same energy as the actual signal. The instantaneous noise levels typically fluctuate above and below the measured Leg during the measurement period. 2. Provide a brief report of the test results. Compensation for Services We propose to perform the Basic Services described above for the lump-sum fee of$850.00 (eight-hundred fifty dollars and no cents). Reasonable expenses,including mileage,incurred in the execution of this work are included in this fee.
