RESOLUTION REQUESTING CHANGE
OF DESIGNATION OF ROUTE HY. 254:
WHEREAS, State Highway No. 254 has heretofore been designated
as a F. S. A. Highway, and
WHEREAS, delegations from Longmont and vicinity and the
road committee of the Weld County Agricultural Council have petitioned
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado to change
the route of designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Colorado Department
of Highways be requested to change the designation of Highway 254
as a F. S. A. highway to the road running due East from the Longmont
sugar factory on the Section line between Sections in Weld County
Nos. 7 & 18, 8 & 17, 9 & 16, 10 & 15, a distance of four miles more
or less to State Highway No. 185.
The above and foregoing resolution was,. on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote:

The Road Committee of the Weld County Agricultural Advisory Council
passed the following resolution in a meeting April 14, 1952:
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Road Committee of the Weld County
Agricultural Advisory Council recommend to the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County that following extended engineering
information pointing to more economical construction, and ultimate
service to a greater number of people, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County petition the Department of Highways
to re-instate the Route Designation of Route 254 to go directly
east from the Longmont Sugar Facory and join with Highway 185.
